Somewhere Near
A wall divides us,
Standing not too tall,
Firm and robust,
But not too short at all.
Painted in blue, orange, pink,
Enlightened with yellow.
The sun descends to sink;
The scene so soft and mellow.
And your waves gently caress—
Leave traces on my face—
As my soul, you gently undress,
And my body you embrace
With grace.
Droplets soaked with ease
Brush lightly my skin
As my hair strokes the breeze,
And my lips break a grin.
My heart and mind alike, I reckon—
In clouds, the lights of angels appear,
For if there ever were a heaven,
It would be somewhere rather near
Here.
